juvenile Pectoral Sandpiper

last weekend mr Alkborough found a Pec Sand with a large flock of Ruff at Alkborough but it was incredibly elusive and got lost feeding in long wet grassland - 8 days later and he turns up this juv at a private site, not a million miles away -- so same bird or a new arrival? last weeks bird looked to have better, more obvious mantle and scapular V's but not claiming this is definitely different bird at present -- a relatively poorly marked juv and very flighty most of the time but for this spell it was rather better albeit with the sun behind a big black cloud throughout
