Daurian Shrike, Isabelline Shrike

assume this is a Daurian, clearly a first-winter and looks pretty much to have most features of a Daurian, the pale is maybe a bit pale even for that form?
a superb bird giving brilliant views, catching  a lot of insects that look to be mostly wasps from the colour of the pellet ejected; another great bird for the Lincolnshire autumn

Daurian Shrike pellet

looks to be a good few wasps in there -- just falling after a lengthy ejection

Dusky Warbler

with a gap of 2 hours between surveys I chanced a quick visit to Spurn and managed the best shots I have ever got of a Dusky Warbler, not difficult really as I have only one very poor slide of the 2001 Lincs bird to compete with --rubbish light, high ISO, very active bird all the usual excuses

Jack Snipe number 2

a second bird --

Jack Snipe number 1

we dipped a super looking juvenile White-rumped Sandpiper at Gib today but photographic wader compensation was provided by two Jack Snipe; the first a confiding bird that fed in the open right in front of us while the second ran past the hide in cracking light; another entertaining day with 2 Richard's Pipits, 2 Jack Snipe, Great Grey Shrike, a super Wood Warbler, Black Redstart, Short-eared owl, Yellow-browed Warbler and Pied Flycatcher
