Sparrowhawk and one less dunlin

I had been photographing this Dunlin earlier so publishing photos of its demise I an rather tinged with guilt  -- I have long pointed out that leaving a tall hedge round a major wader roost is a reserve management decision that needs alteration -- the Sparrowhawks just sit and wait for a roosting wader to come close thus I sadly hope that there are actually no tame Nearctic waders dropping in to be eaten
