male Hen Harrier

these were my favourite images of the week -- this male often flew through the cottage garden on its hunting forays but its appearances were unpredictable so I was just pleased to get a few nice shots

Great shots, especially the first one. An extremely beautiful raptor. One of my favourites.

These are stunning shots, I just cannot get in the right place at the right time to photograph this species.

Beautiful male Hen Harrier Graham. Congratulations on the Snowy too.

Some great records here for the Bird Atlas Graham. We still need a lot of help with casual birding records on North Uist so things like displaying Snipe are excellent breeding evidence records.

Fantastic photos as usual - always a delight to look at your blog.
